MY EXPERIENCE AT SECUREX CONFERENCE 2024: A
    BUSINESS DEVELOPER’S PERSPECTIVE
I had the privilege of attending the Securex Conference 2024, held from June 11-13 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg. This event, renowned as Africa’s leading security and fire trade exhibition, provided an unparalleled opportunity to explore the latest advancements in the security industry and network with professionals from around the globe.

    DAY 1: IMMERSING IN INNOVATION

The first day was a whirlwind of activity. The exhibition floor was buzzing with energy as exhibitors showcased cutting-edge security solutions. From advanced surveillance systems to innovative access control technologies, the sheer variety of products on display was impressive. I was particularly intrigued by the integration of IoT and AI in security systems, which promises to revolutionise how we approach safety and risk management.

    DAY 2: NETWORKING AND LEARNING

The second day was all about networking and learning. I attended several insightful seminars and panel discussions, where industry experts shared their knowledge on emerging trends and challenges in the security sector. One of the highlights was a session on cybersecurity, which underscored the growing importance of protecting digital assets in an increasingly connected world. I also had the chance to connect with fellow professionals, exchanging ideas and exploring potential collaborations.

    DAY 3: REFLECTING ON OPPORTUNITIES

The final day of the conference was a time for reflection and planning. I spent the day visiting booths I had missed earlier and engaging in deeper conversations with exhibitors. The live demonstrations were particularly enlightening, providing a hands-on experience with the latest technologies. As a business developer, these interactions were invaluable, offering insights into how we can leverage these innovations to enhance our offerings at Career Excel Academy.
