CEA believes that much of the future economic growth and job creation in South Africa will depend on the measure of success achieved with BEE. It therefore follows a multi-facetted approach in this regard. Besides comprehensive involvement on various fronts as consultants and advisors, CEA is presently involved in two major projects that are underway:
1. Construction Contractor Development Model
CEA is presently involved in a constant basis with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to develop a state-of-the-art model in order to enhance existing emerging construction contractor development.
2. Agri Village Project
CEA is presently involved in developing an Agri Village model for one of the group of companies in which CEA is located. This concept explores the viability of certain land holdings in the group to be developed into a labour intensive agricultural village as a self-sustainable economic unit, providing entrepreneurial and job opportunities in intensive agriculture for more than 500 people in intensive agriculture. An integrated approach is followed that will include water, irrigation, financial support, training and mentoring support. CEA has identified knowledgeable associates to provide the necessary inputs to make this project a success. The progress and outcomes of this project will be measured, quantified and reported on in a scientific fashion.
